What’s Happening in the D – 10/23/2016
This Tuesday night we had a great crowd at Northern Lights Lounge in the D. Our featured guest artist LadyChampagne did a fabulous job! Drew Shultz on drums and Phil Whitfield on organ were great as usual. Friday I did a Master Class at Dime Academy in downtown Detroit hosted by Drew. Drew played some of the records I played on and or produced. I demonstrated my use of effects pedals and answered questions from the audience. Vocalist Pat Smillie was there and Eric Morgenson, the owner of Studio A in Dearborn Heights, was there too. The audience was very enthusiastic and I will be doing another event there in the future. This week I also spoke to Zev Feldman from Resonance Records about a possible tour in Japan.
